Soccer Season is Back

Yep, in the cool 8:30 air we hit the soccer fields. Different from this year to last? Our little 5 year olds are now playing... 6 year olds! Yep. I guess we won every game last year and thus they thought they would challenge us more by putting us with the next year up. Okay, I'll be honest. I liked all that winning! Now the other team towers over US instead of the other way around. But do our little players care? No! They try their hardest. Did it matter that one of our goals was scored by the other team? No! They cheered for themselves just as loud! Did it matter that half our team was gone on Spring Break? Yes! That did matter. These poor little guys and gals played their hearts out as they begged the coach to be allowed to sit and rest a bit. But Coach Marty encouraged them to hang on. And hang on they did!

Lexi's pony's and dolls were a hit with the players as they took a break. Even the boys started crowding around by the second half of the game.

Nicolas got in there good! We are really making strides on his being shy and not wanting to get in there and steal the ball. He even got a break away and ran the field. I foresee a fun soccer mom career in my future!
