After a good night sleep at MeeMaw and PaPaw's house, Lexi came home to gear up for all her family to come over and help her celebrate her third birthday too. First she came downstairs to her playroom to find her "big" gift from Mommy & Daddy.

Lexi was very excited to find her very own Loving Family dollhouse. Stocked with rooms of furniture and all. She proceeded to take her family for a drive over to the castle on the other table so that they could meet all her princess. See Daddy Shawn! A dollhouse is not the same as the castle!!! Men. Really! That's like saying a train set is the same as a car race track! Just crazy talk!

After nap she came down to see her special request for a birthday cake. Mommy was very, very excited about this moment. Alas, not quite the reaction I was dreaming all night about since she was a bit overwhelmed by the house FULL of people when she was pulled down from her nap. But later when I asked her what her favorite part of her day was she did tell me it was eating her name in icing off the top of the cake board. Smile! Guess the hours of making cake, cutting it to just the right shape, rearranging pieces, coloring (and eating) tons and tons of pink icing... 7 containers actually.... it was all worth it! Just too bad I have to wait another year to make another cake. I may start having them celebrate 1/2 birthdays just so I can make them a cake!!!

Later, after having time to wake up and play with her cousins for a while... and eat dinner of course... she perked up for that cake! Now that is my little Lexi Lu!

A family photo.

"I am just so humbled by all of you being here. Thank you for being part of my special day. I love you all so much!"
Okay, not sure that is quite what she is saying but it must be something like that, right?

I do know this is when she was ... um... shouting thank yous all around the room. She didn't anyone to miss her appreciation for all the wonderful gifts! How lucky we all are!
