Baseball Fever

Paul (Unca Paulie to the kids) offered Shawn three of his four tickets to the Cardinal game against the Cubs. We were excited. And more excited when we decided to go ahead and let Nicolas skip his nap and go to the game with us. We were in great seats, at a Cubs game, on a Saturday afternoon. Great day for baseball and our four year old. Lexi was going to Grandpa's house.

Well, then that morning Grandpa got a call to go to a private Cardinal box at the same game. He called us and we all decided to let Lexi go with him and hope she does okay without a nap. Boy was she getting her standards started high though! First baseball game and already in a luxury box! Wow! Where do we go from here?

Shawn and I took the kids down to Soulard for eats and pre-game festivities. Met up with Paul and then met up with Jim at the stadium. Grandpa went off with Lexi and we enjoyed our great view (and environment) in Paul's seats. What a treat!

Grandpa called... "meet him the hall because we are all moving to his box." Um... okay! Food, beverages, A/C and great seats to boot. Who can beat it? We had a good time. We totally appreciated being there. It was a great family afternoon for the Vetter's.

Got even better when Grandpa took one of our cars and the two smaller Vetter's home with him to stay the night! Yeah. Watching the fireworks with my hubby and friend in Soulard and waking up the next day at whatever time I wanted to. Happy 5th of July!
