Nicolas Scores!

Okay, it is not the best picture. For some reason the camera does not take good pictures inside the Game. We haven't figured out why. But if you look really close you will see a proud litte smirk on Nicolas' face after he scored a goal in his game!

He has come to truly love the sport even more. Our little soccer star!

Kick it!

Lexi is starting to really like soccer too. She says "one day I will be a big girl and play soccer too." She can't wait. She asks us all the time if we can get in the car and go play soccer. Boy does she look up to her big brother!

Twins!

Okay, how beautiful a world if there were two Lexi's? Could we handle it? Could the world? (smile)
No, your not seeing doubles. You are just seeing a little girl who gets a giggle out of her own little world.

Hide and Seek.... oh, you can't see her, can you?

Girly is as Girly Does!

A fun weekend yard sale trip turned up a bag full of fun girly accessories. Lexi found it.... and put it ALL on. Sparkly skirt and high heels go great with all the jewelry, don't you think? That is... until she decided to take it all off in the kitchen. Modern day trail of bread crumbs!

A Visit With the Happy New Family

We got to visit with Ron, Amy and Max on Friday. It was great to hold that baby in our arms. Shawn soaked up the baby aroma from the side. He and Lexi are still fighting colds and didn't want to give that gift to Max. Shawn was disappointed. But he was a good distraction for Nicolas.

How I always loved to soothe a baby with a shhhh and a swaddle!

I can't believe those tiny fingers touching both my cheeks. He was so tiny!

Lexi was a bit jealous and needed the distraction too. She thought Max was sweet and a baby doll she would love to play with... but she did take the time to point out to her mommy that her hands and nose were cute too. She is a bit of a mommy's girl... so was hard to see her mommy cuddling another baby. She adjusted. And by the time we left she was being her usual sing-song self. She has so much to tell her new little cousin... now if he would just stop sleeping long enough to listen!

Super Soccer Stud!

First day of outdoor YMCA soccer practice! Nicolas was so excited to get out there. And he was doubly excited to wear those new fancy shmancy soccer shoes! Who knew that a few cleats under the feet could make our little tender guy into a super duper soccer machine.

He got out there during the first half which is a practice session. He did drills, stretches and ran with the group of adorable four and five year olds. Then came his very first soccer game. Click on the photo below to see our web album and check out the cutie's running, kicking and having some fun springtime fun. And take a good look at Nicolas' fight face. I know he was trying to be mean... but it just makes me laugh. I am looking forward to the next four weeks of this!

Mighty Max Comes Home

MAX!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our world to our newest nephew Max. He is so sweet, so small, so soft. I can already tell he is the light that twinkles in his mommy and daddy's eyes. He is a welcome addition to the light in my eyes as well. I got to cuddle him for a little bit on Friday and I cherished every minute of it. Those photos will come soon. But until then, here are some cutie photos my mom took at the hospital. Max came a bit early and gave him mom and dad a bit of a worry but he was worth every bit of it. Welcome to the world, Max! We love you already!
