Lexi's First Haircut

Well, it was due to happen. I would break down and let someone cut her hair. We drove to a hair place that was built especially for children. Little chairs, video monitors to distract them, bright colors, suckers, adorable bows everywhere! Even a machine that eats their cut hair and pops out a special prize at the end.

It started out as it probably does so much of the time... fear and tears. But once I got over that (hee, hee)... no, once Lexi got to hold her mommy's hand then she got brave and let the nice lady cut her hair.

She sat very, very still. I was impressed! I don't know if I have ever seen that little two year old sit that still for so long. Has anyone?

She even got a lesson on a hairdryer.

And of course when it was all over then she was all smiles. That's my girl!

Friends Are Treasured!

Lexi celebrated her second birthday with her little friends at the Game. She was so excited. She has been to so many little parties (thanks to Nicolas) and was eager to have one with her little friends in her honor. I was honored more then anyone, I believe. I am so touched byhow special she was made to feel that day... and every day that we get together with these dear friends. She is a happy little two year old. And I believe a lot of that is because of the other children that she gets to share her life with.

Lexi Turns Two!

Can you believe our world was blessed two years ago already? Time has flown and it flew like a butterfly. Fluttered and flitted from day to day with our bubbly little girl smiling right behind. She has blessed us and blessed her big brother. He may whine about her at times. He get frustrated. But she is his best friend in the world and she adores him like no other!

Thank you to everyone who has touched Lexi's life for this past two years. And thank you to everyone who was here to help celebrate her birthday. I still smile at every moment and every memory!
